CASE: Marriage-Based Adjustment of Status

Our client came to the United States from Peru on a J-1 visa in December 2018. She was not subject to the 2-year foreign residency requirement. She married a U.S. Citizen in October 2019 and retained our office on March 11, 2022 for her green card application. Our firm prepared and filed the I-130 Petition and I-485 Adjustment of Status Application on April 12, 2022. Everything went smoothly and the receipt notices and fingerprint appointment came on time. Prior to the interview, we prepared our clients via conference calls. On February 27, 2023, our client was interviewed at the Kansas City, Missouri USCIS office. On February 28, 2023, our client’s green card application was approved.
