CASE: Marriage-Based Adjustment of Status

Our client came to the United States from the Philippines as a parolee in September 2016. She married a U.S. Citizen in November 2020. She retained our office on March 26, 2022 for her green card application. Our firm prepared and filed the I-130 Petition and I-485 Adjustment of Status Application on April 7, 2022. Everything went smoothly and the receipt notices and fingerprint appointment all came on time. On February 15, 2023, the USCIS issued a Notice of Intent to Deny and requested our client to submit her bona fide marital evidence and a different version of her Thai marriage certificate with her U.S. citizen husband. Our office filed our client’s response to NOID with bona fide marital evidence on February 27, 2023 as well as the Thai marriage certificate. On March 10, 2023, our client’s green card application was approved.
