Our client, a US Citizen Petitioner, met his fiancée in 2021 in the Dominican Republic. They started their relationship and spent time together in the Dominican Republic. They decided to get married and our client filed a fiancé petition for his fiancée. He retained our firm to file a fiancé petition for his fiancé on May 22, 2022.
After retention, we informed our client about the necessary supporting documents to demonstrate the bona fide nature of their relationship. We helped him and his fiancé draft letters supporting the fiancé petition, and we filed the petition on July 1, 2022.
On July 24, 2023, the I-129F fiancé petition was approved. On November 21, 2023, our client’s fiancé appeared at the U.S. Embassy in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic for his K-1 visa interview. The interview went well; afterwards, the U.S. Consulate General issued his K-1 visa.
