I-130 and I-485 Marriage Based Petition and Adjustment of Status Green Card Approval for Filipino Client in Phoenix, Arizona

CASE: Marriage-Based Adjustment of Status

CLIENT: Filipino

LOCATION: Phoenix, AZ

Our client entered the United States from the Philippines on a J-2 visa as a dependent of a J-1 principal (his father). Because his father’s J-1 program was subject to the two-year foreign residency requirement, our office provided legal assistance to help the client obtain a J-2 waiver in December 2024. Although he married a U.S. citizen in February 2022, he waited until his waiver was approved to retain our office on August 28, 2025, for his Green Card application.

Our firm prepared and filed the I-130 Petition and I-485 Adjustment of Status Application on December 23, 2025. The process proceeded smoothly, with all receipt notices and fingerprint appointments arriving on schedule. Prior to the interview, we thoroughly prepared our clients via conference calls. On January 6, 2026, our client was interviewed at the Phoenix, AZ USCIS office, and his Green Card application was officially approved on January 23, 2026.
