In Less Than Two Months, Adjustment of Status Approval Based on I-130 Parent Petition Approved Canadian Client in Columbus Ohio

CASE: I-130 (Petition for Parent) and I-485 Adjustment of Status
CLIENT: Canadian
LOCATION: Columbus, OH

Our client retained us to petition for her mother, who traveled to the U.S. from Canada. The client is a U.S. citizen, and her mother originally entered the United States as a TN visa holder in April 2014. Since then, her mother has remained in the U.S. continuously. The client contacted our office to discuss the I-130 petition and her mother’s adjustment of status application; after our consultation, she retained our firm.

Once retained, our firm prepared and filed the I-130 Immigrant Visa Petition and the I-485 Adjustment of Status Application for her mother on December 18, 2025. The process moved efficiently, with receipt notices and fingerprint appointments arriving on schedule. Ultimately, on February 8, 2026, our client’s mother’s adjustment of status application was approved without an interview or request for evidence.
