Our client entered the United States from Spain on a J-1 exchange visitor visa to work as a teacher. His J-1 program was not subject to the two-year foreign residency requirement. After marrying a U.S. citizen in August 2025, he retained our office to handle his green card application. Our firm filed the I-130 Petition and I-485 Application on November 16, 2025. We prepared our clients for the process via conference calls prior to the interview. On March 6, 2026, the client was interviewed at the USCIS office in Houston, TX, and his green card was approved on April 19, 2026
