CASE: I-130 (Petitions for Parent) and Adjustment of Status

Our client retained us to petition for her mother, who came to the U.S. from South Korea. Our client is a U.S. citizen, and her mother entered the United States as a B-2 visitor in September 2024. Since then, her mother has remained in the United States. She contacted our office in October 2024 to discuss her I-130 petition and her mother’s adjustment of status application. After the consultation, she retained our office on October 29, 2024.
Once retained, our firm prepared and filed the I-130 Immigrant Visa Petition and the I-485 Adjustment of Status Application for her mother on December 12, 2024. Everything went smoothly, and the receipt notices and fingerprint appointment all arrived on time. Eventually, on May 12, 2025, our client’s mother’s adjustment of status application was approved without an interview.
