CASE: I-130 (Petitions for Parent) and Adjustment of Status

Our firm was retained by a U.S. citizen to petition for her mother, a South Korean national. The mother entered the United States as a Visa Waiver Visitor (WT) in February 2025 and has remained here since. Following a consultation regarding an I-130 petition and adjustment of status application, the client formally retained us on March 6, 2025.
On April 22, 2025, we filed the I-130 Immigrant Visa Petition and the I-485 Adjustment of Status Application. The process proceeded smoothly, with all receipt notices and fingerprint appointments arriving on schedule. On January 13, 2026, the mother’s adjustment of status application was officially approved.
