Adjustment of Status for Parents Based on I-130 by US Citizen Daughter Approved for Chinese Clients in Iowa City Iowa

CASE: I-130 (Petitions for Parents) and Adjustment of Status

CLIENT: Chinese

LOCATION: Iowa City, IA

Our client, who was born and raised in China but subsequently naturalized in the United States, retained us to petition her parents for their green cards. She initially contacted our office in February 2025 to discuss the green card process for her parents and formally retained us on February 20, 2025.

Once retained, our firm filed the Form I-130 Petition for Alien Relative and the Adjustment of Status applications for her parents on May 13, 2025. The process proceeded smoothly, and the receipt notices, fingerprint appointments, and employment authorization documents (work permits) were issued promptly. On October 26, 2025, our client’s parents’ adjustment of status was approved, and they are now Lawful Permanent Residents (green card holders).
