Adjustment of Status Green Card Approval Based on K-1 Fiancée Visa for Indian Client in Brookpark Ohio

CASE: Adjustment of Status Based on Approved K-1 Visa

CLIENT: Indian

LOCATION: Brook Park, OH

Our client came to the United States in September 2024 as a K-1 visa entrant from India. She is the beneficiary of an approved I-129F petition. She entered the United States as the K-1 fiancée of a U.S. citizen, whom she married within 90 days of her entry. By law, if you marry your petitioner-fiancé within 90 days of your K-1 visa entry, you are eligible to apply for adjustment of status (green card) in the United States. She was married in September 2024.

Our client initially contacted our office for a consultation regarding her adjustment of status application. She retained our office, and our firm prepared and filed the I-485 Application to Adjust Status on October 31, 2024. Things went smoothly, and the receipt notices and fingerprint appointment all arrived on time. Prior to the interview, we thoroughly prepared our client via conference calls. On May 23, 2025, our client was interviewed at the Cleveland, OH USCIS office. Attorney Sung Hee (Glen) Yu, Esq. from our office accompanied our client. However, after the interview, USCIS issued a Request for Evidence for an updated I-693 vaccination record. Our office submitted our client’s new I-693 record to USCIS on June 12, 2025. Eventually, on June 24, 2025, our client’s green card application was approved.
