Our client, a naturalized U.S. citizen originally from the Philippines, retained our firm to file an I-130 petition for her mother, who was residing in the UAE. After the client turned 21, the petition was filed on December 15, 2023, and approved by USCIS in March 2025. Because the client was a student working part-time, she required a joint sponsor for the Affidavit of Support.
We submitted the immigrant visa application to the National Visa Center (NVC) on August 18, 2025, and the case was documentarily qualified by August 28, 2025. The NVC forwarded the case to the U.S. Consulate in Abu Dhabi, UAE. Following an interview on December 7, 2025, the mother’s visa was approved and issued. Our client’s mother traveled to the United States on December 30, 2025, allowing the family to celebrate the New Year together.
