Our office was contacted by our client, a woman from Colombia, in December 2023 regarding her I-751 application. She married a U.S. citizen in January 2022 and obtained a two-year conditional green card in May 2022. Her conditional residency was set to expire in May 2024.
To meet immigration requirements, our client and her husband needed to file a Joint Petition to Remove Conditions, and she retained our office to help. We filed the I-751 application on her behalf with the USCIS on February 26, 2024.
In July 2025, the USCIS scheduled an interview for her I-751 application. Our office thoroughly prepared our client for the interview by going over potential questions and issues during a conference call.
On August 19, 2025, our client was interviewed at the USCIS Louisville, Kentucky Field Office. Her I-751 application was approved the same day, and she received her 10-year green card.
