CASE: Marriage-Based Adjustment of Status

Our client came to the United States from South Africa with a B-2 visitor’s visa in November 2021. Since then, she has remained in the United States. She married a U.S. Citizen in April 2022 and retained our office for her green card application on June 2, 2022. Our firm filed the I-130 Petition and I-485 Adjustment of Status Application on June 17, 2023. All went well and the receipt notices and fingerprint appointment came on time. On March 17, 2023, the USCIS issued a Request for Evidence and asked our client to submit bona fide marital evidence with her U.S. citizen husband. Our office filed our client’s response to RFE with numerous marital evidence on April 13, 2023. On April 28, 2023, our client’s green card application was approved.
