Our client retained us to petition for her mother who came to the U.S. from Russia. Our client is a naturalized US citizen and her mother came to the United States in June 2022 with a B-2 visitor’s visa from Jamaica. She contacted our office in December of 2022 and discussed with us her I-130 petition and her mother’s adjustment of status application. After consultation, she retained our office on December 14, 2022.
Our firm filed the I-130 Immigrant Visa Petition and I-485 Adjustment of Status Application on January 12, 2023 for her mother. All went well and the receipt notices, fingerprint appointment, and work permits came on time. On July 25, 2023, our client’s mother’s adjustment of status application was approved.
