Our client contacted our office in November of 2021 regarding her I-751 application.
She is from the Philippines and married a U.S. citizen in October 2019. She obtained a 2-year conditional green card in March 2020. Her conditional residency was terminated in March 2022. To comply with immigration requirements, our client and her husband filed an I-751 Joint Petition to Remove Conditions. Once retained, on January 13, 2022, our office filed the I-751 application to the USCIS.
However, on July 6, 2023, the USCIS issued a Request for Evidence (RFE) and requested our client to submit additional bona fide marital evidence. Our office filed the RFE response on September 11, 2023. On September 22, 2023, the USCIS approved our client’s I-751 application. She received her 10-year green card.
