CASE: I-130 and Consular Processing (Immigrant Visa) – Marriage-Petition
Our client is a U.S. citizen who married her husband in India in October 2021. After the marriage, she returned to the United States and retained our office for the I-130 and immigrant visa filing for her husband. She retained our office on December 27, 2021. Our office filed the I-130 petition on February 17, 2022. The USCIS approved the I-130 petition on April 6, 2023.
Once the I-130 petition was approved, we filed the immigrant visa packets to the National Visa Center on April 24, 2023. The NVC forwarded our client’s materials to the U.S. Consulate General in Mumbai, India. On October 16, 2023, the interview was conducted. On the same day, the U.S. Consulate General in Mumbai approved and issued his immigrant visa.
With the approved Immigrant Visa, our client’s husband can come to the United States immediately, and he will get his green card within two months of entry.
