Our client from the Philippines came to the U.S. with a J-1 exchange visa to work in the United States. Her J-1 program was not subject to the two-year foreign residency requirement. In June 2023, our client married her current U.S. citizen husband. She retained our office on June 12, 2023, for her green card application. Our firm filed the I-130 Petition and I-485 Adjustment of Status Application on July 24, 2023. All went well and the receipt notices, fingerprint appointment, and work permits came on time. On November 7, 2023, her green card application was approved.
