Our client’s employer was willing to sponsor her for an I-140 petition. The client holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, possesses a valid South Dakota teaching license, and has worked for the employer since August 2018. Based on her educational and professional background, our office determined that she is eligible for the EB-3 classification. They retained our services in February 2024.
Prior to filing the PERM labor certification, our firm prepared the prevailing wage request, job order, and all other necessary pre-filing recruitment steps. We filed the prevailing wage request within a week of being retained. After obtaining the prevailing wage determination, the employer filed the job order on October 21, 2024. We then filed the PERM application on February 18, 2025. On May 13, 2026, the PERM Labor Certification was approved for the EB-3 position, benefiting our Filipina client. The client is now eligible to file her I-140 petition at any time.
