Adjustment of Status Green Card Approval Based on K-1 Fiancée Visa for Filipina Client in North Olmsted Ohio

CASE: Adjustment of Status Based on Approved K-1 Visa

CLIENT: Filipina

LOCATION: North Olmsted, OH

Our client entered the United States from the Philippines in November 2025 as the beneficiary of an approved I-129F petition. As a K-1 fiancée of a U.S. citizen, she married her petitioner within the legally mandated 90 days of entry, finalizing their marriage in February 2026. By law, K-1 visa entrants who marry their petitioner within this 90-day window are eligible to adjust their status to a permanent resident (green card) within the United States.

After an initial consultation regarding her adjustment of status, she retained our firm to handle her application. We prepared and filed her I-485 Adjustment of Status Application on March 16, 2026. The process moved smoothly, with all receipt notices and fingerprint appointments arriving on schedule. Prior to the interview, we thoroughly prepared our clients via conference calls. On June 12, 2026, our client attended her interview at the USCIS office in Cleveland, Ohio, accompanied by Attorney Sung Hee Yu, Esq. Ultimately, on June 25, 2026, her green card application was officially approved.
