CASE: Marriage-Based Adjustment of Status
CLIENT: Liberian
LOCATION: Grayson, GA
Our client came to the United States from Liberia on an F-1 student visa to pursue his degree. He married a U.S. citizen in May 2024 and retained our office on October 15, 2024, for his green card application. Our firm prepared and filed the I-130 Petition and Adjustment of Status application on April 1, 2025. Everything proceeded smoothly; the receipt notices, fingerprint appointment, and work permits were all issued on time.
Prior to the interview, we thoroughly prepared our clients via conference calls. On August 25, 2025, our client was interviewed at the USCIS Atlanta Field Office. However, on September 25, 2025, USCIS issued a Notice of Intent to Deny (NOID), requesting updated evidence of a bona fide marriage. On October 23, 2025, our office filed a response to the NOID with extensive evidence of their marital union. Finally, on March 14, 2026, the green card application was approved.
