CASE: Marriage-Based Adjustment of Status

A client of ours, a J-1 exchange visitor from the Philippines, was not subject to the two-year foreign residence requirement. After marrying a U.S. citizen in July 2024, she retained our office on November 11, 2024, to file her green card application.
We prepared and filed the I-130 Petition and the I-485 Adjustment of Status Application on December 2, 2024. All receipt notices and the fingerprint appointment were received in a timely manner. Prior to her interview, we thoroughly prepared the client via conference calls.
The client was interviewed on July 29, 2025, at the USCIS office in Indianapolis, Indiana. The following day, on July 30, 2025, her green card application was approved.
