Our client, a Kenyan national, contacted our office in September 2023 regarding her I-751 application. She married a U.S. citizen in January 2021 and obtained a two-year conditional green card in February 2022. Her conditional residency was set to expire in February 2024.
To comply with immigration requirements, our client and her husband needed to file an I-751 Joint Petition to Remove Conditions. We were retained to assist, and our office filed the I-751 application with USCIS on September 26, 2023.
In April 2025, USCIS scheduled an I-751 interview. We thoroughly prepared our client for the interview via conference call, addressing potential issues. On July 2, 2025, our client attended her I-751 interview at the USCIS Troy, MI Field Office. We are pleased to report that her I-751 application was approved on the same day, and she has since received her 10-year green card.
