Our client’s current employer was willing to sponsor her for an I-140 petition. The client holds a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education, possesses a valid South Dakota teaching license, and has worked for her employer since January 2023. Based on her educational and professional background, our office determined that she is eligible for the EB-3 classification. The client retained our services in April 2024.
Before filing the PERM, our firm prepared the prevailing wage request, advertisements, and all other necessary pre-filing steps. The prevailing wage request was filed within a week of our retention. After obtaining the prevailing wage determination, the employer placed the job order on November 12, 2024. We subsequently filed the PERM application on March 3, 2025. On May 14, 2026, the PERM Labor Certification was approved for the EB-3 position on behalf of the Filipina beneficiary. Our client is now eligible to file the I-140 petition at any time.
