Our client came to the United States from the Philippines with a J-2 visa. He was subject to the two-year foreign residency requirement. Nevertheless, with our office’s legal assistance, he was able to obtain a J-2 waiver.
He married a U.S. Citizen in May 2022. He retained our office on July 14, 2022 for his green card application. Our firm prepared and filed the I-130 Petition and I-485 application on February 16, 2023. All went well and the receipt notices, fingerprint appointment, and work permits came on time. On August 8, 2023, our client’s green card application was approved.
