Our client came to the United States from Brazil with a J-1 exchange visitor’s visa in October 2021. Her J-1 visa was not subject to the INA 212(e), two-year foreign residency requirement. She married a U.S. Citizen in January 2023. She retained our office on May 1, 2023 for her green card application. Our firm filed the I-130 Petition and I-485 Application on May 18, 2023. All went well and the receipt notices, fingerprint appointment, and work permits came on time. On August 18, 2023, our client’s green card application was approved.
