CASE: Adjustment of Status Based on Approved K-1 Visa
CLIENT: Peruvian
LOCATION: Cleveland, OH
Our client entered the United States from Peru in November 2024 as a K-1 visa holder and the beneficiary of an approved I-129F petition. As required by law, she married her U.S. citizen petitioner in February 2025, within 90 days of her entry. This marriage made her eligible to apply for an adjustment of status (green card).
After an initial consultation, she retained our firm to handle her application. We prepared and filed her I-485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or Adjust Status on December 22, 2025. The process proceeded smoothly, with receipt notices and fingerprint appointments arriving on schedule. Prior to the interview, we thoroughly prepared our clients via conference calls. On March 26, 2026, Attorney JP Sarmiento, Esq. accompanied our clients to their interview at the USCIS office in Cleveland, Ohio. On March 28, 2026, our client’s green card application was officially approved.
