CASE: Marriage-Based Adjustment of Status

Our client entered the United States from the Bahamas on a B-2 visitor visa in December 2017. He married a U.S. citizen in January 2024 and retained our firm on January 21, 2025, to handle his green card application. We prepared and filed his I-130 Petition and I-485 Adjustment of Status Application on August 28, 2025. The process moved smoothly, with receipt notices and biometrics appointments arriving on schedule. Prior to the interview, we thoroughly prepared the couple via conference calls. On June 4, 2026, Attorney Sung Hee (Glen) Yu, Esq. accompanied the clients to their interview at the Cleveland, Ohio USCIS field office. On June 19, 2026, the client’s green card application was successfully approved.
